Mets designate Manny Acosta for assignment

The Mets have designated relief pitcher Manny Acosta for assignment today after his poor performance at Citi Field this afternoon. The Mets will promote Omar Quintanilla from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Acosta's ERA is currently 11.86 and he has looked awful this season.
