Twins designate Eric Komatsu for assignment

Where can Komatsu get some playing time?

The Twins have designated outfielder Eric Komatsu for assignment this afternoon. The move has allowed the team to recall right-hander Jeff Manship from Triple-A.

Komatsu, 24 years old, was designated for assignment by the Cardinals earlier this month and was quickly snatched up by the Twins. He appeared in 15 games for the Twins this season. For most of his career, he has played in the Double-A level and he has never played a game at the Triple-A level.

Analysis: I expect that someone will put a claim on him because he is still very young and has some upside.
