Astros/Royals complete Bourgeois and Quintero trade

The Astro's announced that they acquired 20 year old outfielder D'Andre Toney from the Royals as the player to be named later in the March 20th trade that sent Jason Bourgeois and Humberto Quintero to Kansas City. Toney was drafted by the Royals last year.

The outfielder hit .340 in 43 games last year for the Royals' Arizona League affiliate. When the deal was initially made, Astro's GM Jeff Luhnow told reporters that the player to be named later was going to be the "key component" of the trade.

Analysis: This is a great trade for the Astro's. Bourgeois and Quintero are decent players but the Astro's did not need them this year. GM Jeff Luhnow probably anticipated that the Astro's were not going to contend and that's why he traded they away. Luhnow did a great job in this trade. This 20 year old outfielder could be a good ballplayer.
