Blue Jays acquire Sean O'Sullivan

The Blue Jays have acquired Sean O'Sullivan from the Royals for cash considerations. The Jays have been actively searching for pitching depth lately, and they are likely to make more moves in the next few days.

O'Sullivan has a 6.75 ERA in 53 1/3 innings at Triple-A this year. He started ten games for the Royals last year, posting a 7.25 ERA in 58 1/3 innings. The Angels selected O'Sullivan in the third round of the 2005 draft, and he is still only 24 years old. He was sent to the Royals in the Alberto Callapso deal a few years ago.
