Brewers claim Hector Gomez, DFA Kintzler

Gomez will find a lot of playing time with Milwaukee

The Brewers have claimed Hector Gomez off of waivers from the Rockies. In a corresponding move, the team designated Brandon Kintzler for assignment.

Gomez has a career .268 batting average in 1791 minor league at bats. The 24 year old shortstop has only played two games this year due to a groin injury.

Kintzler has had a few cups of coffee with the Brewers over the past few years.
