The Nationals have activated outfielder Xavier Nady off of the disabled list, and designated him for assignment. The move allows the club to recall pitcher John Lannan from Triple-A and that allows him to start game one of today's doubleheader.Nady has been on the disabled list since late-June due to a wrist issue. He hit .157 with three home runs in 109 plate appearances for the Nationals this year. Washington signed Nady to a minor league deal during Spring Training.
