The Phillies have placed third baseman Placido Polanco on the 15 day disabled list with lower back inflammation. Polanco has missed the last three games due to this injury. Manager Charlie Manuel has told reporters that this is similar to the back injury that caused him to miss most of last season.Polanco has hit .255 with 2 homers and 19 RBI in 82 games this year. He was a trade candiate, but now that he is on the DL there is no way he will be traded.
