The Pirates have acquired outfielder/first baseman Christian Marrero from the Braves in exchange for infielder Brian Friday. Both players will head to Triple-A.
Marrero has hit .248 with 5 home runs at the Double-A and Triple-A levels this year.
Friday has hit .232 with 25 RBI in Triple-A ball this year.
