| Joey Votto's absence hasn't really affected the Reds |
I am honestly very surprised that the Reds have stayed in first place. When Votto landed on the disabled list, most of us, including myself, thought that Cincinnati would struggle to even stay over .500. However, their incredible bullpen and above-average offense has kept them on the top.
The topic of this article is Can the Reds continue their hot streak? I believe they certainly can. With the addition to Jonathan Broxton, their bullpen is even better. I still think their starting rotation is lacking, simply because I don't trust Mike Leake and Homer Bailey. Their offense is still solid, even without Joey Votto. Overall, I expect the Reds to continue their solid performance for the rest of the year and into the postseason.
