The Cubs have announced that catcher Blake Lalli has cleared waivers and will be outrighted to Triple-A.Chicago designated Lalli for assignment last week to make roster space for Miguel Socolovich, who was claimed off of waivers from the Orioles. Lalli has hit .257 in 319 plate appearances in Triple-A this year.
Analysis: Not much of a surprise here Lalli doesn't bring much to the table.
