The Mariners have released catcher Ralph Henriquez from their Double-A affiliate. The move creates roster space for 2012 No. 3 overall pick Mike Zunino.
Henriquez has hit .229 with 2 homers in 45 games in Seattle's Double-A affiliate this season. He was drafted by the Astros in the 2nd round of the 2005 draft.
