The Rays have announced that infielder Will Rhymes has cleared waivers and will be outrighted to Triple-A.Rhymes hit .228 in 137 plate appearances with Tampa Bay this season.
Analysis: Not surprising here. Rhymes is a very versatile player, but doesn't really offer much at the plate.
