The Angels have signed infielder Angel Sanchez to a minor league deal. The contract includes an invite to Los Angeles' Spring Training camp in the Spring.Sanchez hit .240 in 328 plate appearances with Houston in 2012 and became a free agent earlier this month.
Analysis: A signing like this makes sense because Sanchez can serve as infield depth for the Halos, assuming Maicer Izturis leaves via free agency. Sanchez has some upside, but I view him as infield depth at best.
