The Blue Jays have announced that they have designated pitcher Tyson Brummett for assignment to create roster space for David Herndon, who was recently claimed off of waivers from Philadelphia.Brummett spent most of the 2012 season in the upper levels of the minor leagues, posting a combined 3.20 ERA in 90 innings pitched. He spent most of the year in Double-A and Triple-A, and served as a relief pitcher during 36 of his 44 appearances.
Analysis: Tyson did you enjoy your five days with Toronto? I'm sure you'll be forgotten very quickly. On the brighter note, Brummett MIGHT get claimed, since his minor league numbers aren't terrible.
