The Blue Jays have claimed that pitcher Tyson Brummett has cleared waivers and will be outrighted to Triple-A.Toronto claimed Brummett off of waivers from the Phillies last week, but designated him for assignment five days later. He posted a 3.20 ERA in 90 minor league innings for Philadelphia in 2012.
Analysis: Alright, well whatever. Brummett's minor league stats aren't great overall, so I didn't expect to be claimed. At age 28, it seems like his production can be found pretty much anywhere, so he is obviously not that appealing to other teams.
