The Rays have announced that utility player Brooks Conrad has elected free agency after he refused an outright assignment to the minors earlier today.Conrad split time between the Rays and Brewers in 2012, hitting .133 in 49 games.
Analysis: Conrad will probably get signed by SOMEONE, because he is one of the most versatile players in the game. The problem is the guy just cannot hit, and that has really hurt his value as a player.
