The Oakland Athletics are reportedly looking to move left handed pitcher Brian Fuentes. Oakland may decide to trade more players in the next few weeks, but right now they are still in contention with a 37-39 record.Fuentes has pitched to a 6.85 ERA in 23 2/3 innings this season. He has recently lost the closers job to Ryan Cook. Fuentes is owed $5 million this season and has a $6.5 club option for next year with a $500k buyout.
Analysis: Fuentes has been dreadful this season and has been a huge bust for Billy Beane and Co. Its not surprising that they are looking to move him now because he isn't doing much to help the team. Their not going to get much for him, but he is a cancer to that team and needs to be moved ASAP.
