Blue Jays claim David Pauley off of waivers

The Blue Jays have claimed relief pitcher David Pauley off of waivers from the Angels. He has been added to the 40-man roster.

Two days ago the Angels designated Pauley for assignment. The 29 year old relief pitcher has a career ERA of 4.51 and a 47.7% ground ball rate. The Jays have lost 3/5 of their rotation in the past few days, so Pauley will most likely get a lot of work with Toronto.

Analysis: I didn't expect anyone to claim Pauley, but obviously the Jays need pitching help and they got it. This isn't a huge move but its a low risk, decent reward acquisition, and I have no problem with that.
