Fantasy talk: Buy Low on Ryan Cook
Ryan Cook was simply a throw-in player in the Trevor Cahill trade over the winter. The A's had little expectations with him but he is proving to be nice acquisition by GM Billy Beane. He recently took the closers job away from Brian Fuentes by converting his last 3 save opportunities. Cook has an outstanding ERA of 0.61 in 29.2 inning so far. There is a great chance that he could still be available in your league because he is very unknown to many avid baseball fans. The problem is he has a small problem throwing strikes. He has a BB/9 ratio of 4.9 this year and that is definitely something to be concerned about. But if you need saves and strikeouts at a cheap price, Cook is your guy.
