Twins may add pitching soon

GM Terry Ryan is kind of stating the obvious here

The Twins are looking to add pitching depth to their organization very soon. GM Terry Ryan is saying that he is just looking to get outs.
"We don't have enough pitching," Ryan said. "We need pitching, and we need it bad."


The Twins have a team ERA of 5.05, which is 29th in all of baseball. Some executives are wondering whether a trade involving Josh Willingham or Denard Span could be on the horizon to acquire young pitchers.

Analysis: The Twins definitely need pitching, but I don't think they need it anytime soon. They aren't going to compete this year so my theory would be to just forget about this season and start trading their veteran players in exchange for some young pitching prospects. Remember the Twins took a lot of young arms in this year draft. They'll get pitching eventually but they are still a few years away from having their young prospects coming up.
