Grading Top 101 players 79-70

79. Ian Kennedy- C+ Kennedy had a breakout year last year and many of us thought he have another great season this year. Its been pretty ugly for the 27 year old pitcher however. He currently owns a 4.13 ERA in 14 starts.

78. C.J. Wilson- A+ I'll admit it, I really thought the Angels made a horrific signing this winter when they signed Wilson. He only had two years under his belt as a starter and he struggled in the postseason. He, however, has silenced many critics like myself and has posted up great numbers. He has a 2.44 ERA in a league leading 15 starts with 79 strikeouts.

77. Adam Jones- A- The guy is simply amazing. That's all I can really say. The only reason he gets an A- is because he doesn't really draw too many walks but I guess when you are hitting .306 with 18 home runs that doesn't matter.

76. Yu Darvish- B+ Darvish, for the most part, has had a nice year. He has gotten shelled a few times in his last few outings but overall he has had a good beginning to his first MLB season. I have a feeling he will only get better from here on out.

75. Rickie Weeks- D- Weeks has been arguably the worst hitter in baseball and leads the National League in strikeouts. He only has 5 home runs in 282 plate appearances.

74. Buster Posey- B+ Posey has quietly had a nice year and could make the All-Star team. He is hitting .294 with 8 home runs. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a run at the NL Comeback player of the year award either.

73. Aramis Ramirez- B- Ramirez has been ALRIGHT this season. He is hitting .263 with 9 home runs and 42 RBI. He hasn't been spectacular but I wouldn't say he is having a dreadful year.

72. Jason Heyward- C+  Heyward hasn't really done much this year. After his great rookie season in 2010, a lot of Braves fans thought he would be a cornerstone player for Atlanta for years to come. He is still young and has a lot to learn. This year has been odd for him because he has more stolen bases (10) than home runs (8).

71. Michael Bourn-  A+ Bourn is quietly having an awesome year. He is leading the league in plate appearances and at-bats and has a .311 batting average. He has 17 stolen bases and SIX HOME RUNS. That's more than all of the home runs he hit combined from 2009-2011. He is definitely starting to come into his own as a player and he is a really exciting player to watch.

70. Madison Bumgarner- A+ When the Giants signed Bumgarner to an extension, most people were scratching their heads because he only had only good season under his belt. Bumgarner is having an ace-like season, posting a 2.92 ERA in 95.2 innings. He has 78 strikeouts and barely walks anyone.
