Joe Saunders hits the 15 day DL

The Diamondbacks have placed pitcher Joe Saunders on the 15 day DL with a strained throwing shoulder. Saunders was scheduled to start Friday, but was scratched before the game started.

Analysis: Joe Saunders has been very good for Arizona this season. He is probably going to get traded because his value is high right now and the starting pitcher market is weak.
