The Red Sox have placed outfielder Scott Podsednik on the 15 day disabled list because of an injured groin. The team activated Cody Ross in a corresponding move. The Red Sox now have five outfielders on the disabled list at the moment.Podsednik has been great for Boston this season. He was batting .387 in 62 at-bats with them before the injury.
Analysis: Podsednik has given the Red Sox depth in the outfield and his presence will certainly be missed. This doesn't sound like a major injury so he will probably only be out for the 15 days. Podsednik has been a nice fantasy player to have lately because he was getting some playing time and was swiping some bases. If you can, try to keep him in your league but if you absolutely need to drop him, that is ok because there is no guarantee that he will continue to perform like he did before he went on the DL.
