The Yankees have placed third baseman Alex Rodriguez on the 15 day DL because of a hand fracture that he suffered last night in a game against the Mariners. He took a Felix Hernandez changeup to the hand and left the game early. Eric Chavez will start in his place in the meantime.Rodriguez has hit .274 with 15 home runs and 44 RBI this season.
