The Brewers announced that they designated catcher George Kottaras for assignment. The move allows Milwaukee to activate catcher Jonathan Lucroy off of the disabled list.Kottaras is probably going to draw some trade interest within the next few days. The Mets or Nationals could inquire about a possible deal. Kottaras has hit .209 in 116 plate appearances this year, but has an impressive .406 on base percentage.
