Cardinals are looking for pitching

Shelby Miller could be made available to other teams

The Cardinals will continue to look for pitching depth and they are also trying to add a left handed reliever. GM John Mozeliak has indicated that he will probably make a few small moves, and doesn't expect a big acquisition.

Zack Greinke and Cole Hamels appear to be off the board for the Cardinals now. St. Louis isn't willing to trade anyone from their major league roster, but top pitching prospect Shelby Miller could be made available for the first time. Miller's value is low, however. In 17 Triple-A starts this season, he has posted a 6.17 ERA.
