Fantasy talk: Weekly Buy low/Sell high

Buy low


Ben Sheets- Not many people know what to expect out of Sheets, but his last start against the Mets was solid and if he can stay healthy he can be a real nice addition to your team. He should get the ball every fifth day because Atlanta doesn't have to much starting pitching depth right now.

Todd Frazier- Now that Joey Votto is out of the lineup, Frazier will see every day at-bats and should take advantage of his hitter friendly ballpark. He has legitimate power but has never really gotten a chance to show it off.

Sergio Romo- I told you guys a few weeks ago to pick Romo up, because San Francisco's closer Santiago Casilla has been awful this year and he will be replaced soon. Romo has a 0.66 ERA right now, so I'd expect Manager Bruce Bochy to give him the nod if Casilla loses his job.

Sell high


Ryan Dempster- The Cubs are looking to sell high on Dempster, and if you own him, you should be doing the same thing. Dempster has a great 1.86 ERA, but do any of us expect that to last? His track record shows that his ERA will eventually balance out to around 3. Also, his strikeout rate this year is 7.34 K/9, which is his lowest strikeout rate since 2003.

Kevin Youkilis- As most of you know, Youk was struggling with Boston during the first half of this season. Once he was shipped to Chicago in June, he immediately changed. He has put up great numbers, but lets be honest here, what are the chance's that he maintains these numbers? We all know he is an injury prone player and a streaky player as well. Sell high on him before he makes a trip to the disabled list again.

Josh Hamilton- Before you call me crazy, keep this in mind, Hamilton's stats have been declining over the past month or so. Since May 13, Hamilton has seen a 102-point drop in his batting average. He has only 10 home runs in his last 56 games. Additionally, his on base percentage has dropped from .455 to .370. Look, I don't know if Hamilton will continue to struggle, and the odds are i'm probably wrong. All i'm trying to say is if an opposing team makes a nice offer to get him, I'd deeply consider it.
