Mariners sign David Pauley

The Mariners have signed pitcher David Pauley to a minor league deal. This is Pauley's second stint with Seattle after he was dealt to Detroit last year in the Doug Fister trade. Pauley was released by the Tigers in Spring Training and had short stints with the Angels and Blue Jays earlier this year.

Pauley had a 6.48 ERA in 16 2/3 innings this year. His best performance as a Major Leaguer came during his previous stint in Seattle in 2010 and 2011. During that span, he posted a 3.35 ERA in 145 innings pitched.
