Morrison placed on 15 day DL, possibly out for season

The Marlins have had a rough week, and it has just gotten worse. They have placed outfielder Logan Morrison on the 15 day disabled list with right knee inflammation. There is also a chance that he might have knee surgery before the season is over, which would virtually end his 2012 campaign. The club recalled pitcher Ryan Webb from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Morrison has hit .230 with 11 homers and 36 RBI in 334 plate appearances this year.
