Orioles designate Eveland for assignment

The Orioles have designated pitcher Dana Eveland for assignment. Eveland was traded to the Orioles last winter.

Eveland made two starts and twelve relief appearances this year. He had a 4.73 ERA in 32 1/3 innings pitched. He earned a call up earlier in the year because of his great performance in Triple-A. In Triple-A this year, he had a 2.21 ERA in 36 appearances.
