The Orioles have placed first baseman Jim Thome on the 15 day disabled list with neck spasms. Infielder Robert Andino has been recalled from Triple-A to take Thome's spot on the roster.
Thome has hit .252 with 7 homers and 21 RBI in 150 plate appearances this year for Philadelphia and Baltimore.
