The Reds have designated pitcher Andrew Brackman for assignment. The team recalled pitcher Todd Redmond from Triple-A in a corresponding move.Brackman has spent the 2012 season in the Reds' minor league system, posting a combined 6.80 ERA in 49 innings at Single-A and Triple-A. Cincinnati signed Brackman, a former first round pick by the Yankees, to a Major League deal in January.
