Royals release Humberto Quintero
The Royals have released catcher Humberto Quintero. Kansas City designated him for assignment on June 27.
The Royals acquired Quintero and outfielder Jason Bourgeois from Houston back in March. He hit .232 in 144 plate appearances this year.
