The Tigers, White Sox and Orioles have asked the Padres about pitcher Clayton Richard's availability. All three teams have reportedly been actively searching for starting pitching depth lately.Richard has a 3.83 ERA in 127 innings pitched this year. He will earn $2.7 million this year and is under team control through 2014. He has a career 4.12 ERA in five seasons in the MLB.
