The Dodgers have designated outfielder Bobby Abreu for assignment. The move allows newly-acquired outfielder Shane Victorino to be added to the 40 man roster.The Angels released Abreu earlier in the season after a disappointing opening month. The Dodgers signed him to a minor league deal about a week later. Abreu's power has gone away, but he continues to get on base, posting a .347 on base percentage in 236 plate appearances this year.
