The Giants are interested in Astros outfielder Steve Pearce. Ever since the Melky Cabrera suspension, San Francisco has been searching for an outfielder who handles left handed pitching as well as Pearce, who has a career .275 batting average against them.The Astros claimed Pearce off of waivers from the Orioles last month. If Pearce is traded, that would mean that he was with five different clubs in 2012. This season, he has played with the Twins, Yankees, Orioles and Astros.
Analysis: I doubt that the Astros care if Pearce is on the team or not, so I'd just let San Francisco have him for cash considerations or a PTBNL. Nothing special.
