The Giants have signed veteran outfielder Xavier Nady to a minor league contract. Nady took batting practice with San Francisco's Triple-A affiliate this afternoon, and is likely going to be activated tomorrow.The Nationals designated Nady for assignment in late July before releasing him on Sunday. He has been sidelined since mid-June due to a wrist injury, and has hit .157 with three homers in 109 plate appearances so far.
