The Orioles have designated pitcher Miguel Socolovich for assignment. The move makes roster space for J.C. Romero, who was acquired from the Indians yesterday.Socolovich has spent most of the season in Triple-A, where he has posted a 1.90 ERA with 9.0 K/9.
