The Brewers have claimed pitcher Miguel De Los Santos off waivers from the Rangers. Texas released De Los Santos on Friday after designating him for assignment on September 1.De Los Santos posted a 5.22 ERA in 58 2/3 innings at Double-A this year. Baseball America ranked De Los Santos as Texas' 29th best prospect coming into the 2012 season.
Analysis: Well I guess when Texas released him, they put him on release waivers, therefore allowing other teams to put a claim on him. De Los Santos has some upside, but will probably be a setup man at best. Don't look for him to make any big contributions with the Major League squad this year.
