The Cubs have announced that pitcher Alex Hinshaw has been outrighted to Triple-A after he cleared waivers this afternoon. Hinshaw was designated for assignment last week.He posted a 6.04 ERA with 11.4 K/9 and 6.7 BB/9 in 33 games with the Padres and Cubs this year.
Analysis: Not a big deal. Hinshaw's walk ratio probably scared other teams from putting a claim on him.
