The Padres have announced that pitcher Ross Ohlendorf and catcher Eddy Rodriguez (pictured) have cleared waivers and have been outrighted to Triple-A.The Padres designated both of them for assignment earlier in the week to create roster space for a couple September call-ups.
Analysis: Well this was expected. Both players don't really offer much at the big league level.
