The Blue Jays have claimed outfielder Scott Cousins off of waivers from the Marlins.Cousins hit .163 in 92 plate appearances with Miami in 2012. He has experience at all three outfield spots and is a career .288 hitter at the Triple-A level.
Analysis: Cousins is really a fourth outfielder at best, considering that the man just cannot hit at the major league level. He is a good defensive outfielder, and I'm sure that he'll make the team next season, and if he finds a way to translate his minor league numbers to the big leagues, then this will be a decent pickup.
