The Rangers have announced that infielder Luis Hernandez has elected free agency.Hernandez appeared in two games for the Rangers in 2012, and spent most of the season in Triple-A, hitting .262 in 129 games. He has MLB experience with the Orioles, Royals and Mets.
Analysis: I've always thought of Hernandez being a decent hitter with slightly-above average defensive skills. He isn't a horrible option to have as infield depth, and will probably sign a minor league deal with someone.
