The Brewers have announced that infielder Edwin Maysonet and pitcher Juan Perez have elected free agency.Maysonet and Perez had brief stints with Milwaukee this season. Maysonet hit .250 in 30 games while playing shortstop, third base, and second base. Perez posted a 5.14 ERA in 7.0 inning of work.
Analysis: Both of these players didn't really impact the Brewers last season, so this isn't a big loss. Maysonet is really just infield depth and Perez is a long man out of the bullpen at best.
