Orioles, Diamondbacks complete Saunders trade

The Orioles and Diamondbacks have completed the August 26th trade that sent pitcher Joe Saunders to Baltimore in exchange for Matt Lindstrom and a player to be named later. The two sides couldn't agree on a player, so the Orioles will send cash considerations to Arizona to complete trade.

Saunders was very reliable for Baltimore down the stretch, posting a 3.63 ERA in 44 2/3 innings during the regular season. He will become a free agent when the World Series is over and it is assumed that Baltimore will try to retain him.

Analysis: Alright, well that is unfortunate. There's really no news here, expect that both Lindstrom and Saunders played very well with their respective teams in 2012.
