Terry Ryan named permanent Twins GM

The Twins announced that they have removed the interim label off of Terry Ryan's job title, therefore making him the permanent general manager. Ryan has served as the teams interim GM for the last 11 months.

Ever since Ryan returned to the GM role in 2007, he has signed Jamey Carroll, Ryan Doumit, Matt Capps and Josh Willingham to major league deals.

Analysis: Ryan seems like a well-respected general manager in the game and I'm glad that he is getting some more job security. Most of his signings have worked out so far, and he will definitely have a busy off-season because the Twins have a lot of issues, specifically in the rotation.
