Thomas has spent most of the 2012 season in Triple-A, where he posted a 3.45 ERA in 62 2/3 innings of relief.
Analysis: Well this isn't surprising at all. At this point of the season, you really don't see anyone get claimed off of waivers. One thing good about Thomas is that he is a lefty, meaning that some teams could have taken a shot at him. However, he cleared waivers and will prob not make an impact for the rest of the season for New York.
