Slowey spent the entire season in the minor leagues, posting a 5.14 ERA in eight Triple-A starts.
Rottino hit .148 in 71 plate appearances with the Mets and Indians in 2012.
Analysis: Slowey was a good pitcher a few years ago with Minnesota, but just couldn't stay healthy one season and lost his rotation spot. I see him as rotation depth-a spot starter, at best. Rottino is a depth player at best, considering that he can barely hit and plays multiple positions.
