The Tigers have announced that utility player Don Kelly has cleared waivers and will refuse his outright assignment, therefore becoming a free agent.Kelly played all three outfield positions in 2012, and hit .186 in 127 plate appearances.
Analysis: I have a feeling that the Tigers are going to miss Kelly, because the guy is just so versatile. He is probably the most versatile player in the game, and was a great bench player to have. Despite his offensive struggles, I'm sure he'll sign a minor league with someone.
