Angels not actively shopping Peter Bourjos

News: It has been rumored that the Angels have been talking to other teams about a possible trade that could send Bourjos out of Anaheim and bring in a good late inning relief pitcher. Angels GM Jerry Dipoto has denied all of the reports and said "We are not actively shopping him or looking for a fit for him. We believe he's an asset for us." It has been reported over the last few days that the Angels and Nationals have had "preliminary discussions" about sending the outfielder to D.C. for a possible relief pitcher. The Royals, Diamondbacks, and Blue Jays are also a few teams that have been reportedly interesting in the center fielder.

Will Bourjos be in an Angels uniform at the end of the season? If so, What position will he be playing?

Analysis: The Drew Storen injury and the Brad Lidge injury defintely hurt the Nationals' chances of acquiring Bourjos. With Storen and/or Lidge healthy and performing well, the Nationals would happily  trade a player like Tyler Clippard or Henry Rodriguez to acquire Bourjos. But with the lack of depth in the Nationals bullpen at the moment, it appears that Nationals GM Mike Rizzo may not make any trades just yet. In the end, I believe Bourjos will be traded because he is blocked by Baseball America's number 1 prospect Mike Trout. However, The Halos could move him over to right field or left field and have him replace the aging Vernon Wells and Torii Hunter. It will definitely be interesting to see what GM Jerry Dipoto will do with Bourjos. He has so much talent and it would be unfortunate if he doesn't get an opportunity to play in LAA.
